I am relatively new to running having started quite late in life at 45 years old, but have come a long way in a few short years. I started my journey in 2013 when I picked up some trainers and took on the London Marathon. I had no experience of running and no expectations, I took in all the advice I could get and sprinted across the finish line in 3hrs 55mins, raising over £2000 for the NSPCC. My first 'race' was down to pure hard work, determination and a clear head, it worked brilliantly but I wanted to do better.

A month later I was hit by a serious illness and was unable to train for 8 months, but I put it aside, got up and ran. I set myself a goal of completing the NYC marathon later that year. Joining my local running club changed everything. I quickly progressed to complete 9 more marathons internationally, sometimes completing 3 a year and reaching a new personal best of 3hr 18mins. I am also close to breaking 40min in the 10k and recently broke 20mins in the 5k. See my races Raising the bar.

So how did I do this? Endurance running is 5k upwards, each level requires a different level of commitment. As well as the physical work endurance running is about goal setting, having a clear mindset, acceptance and much more. Every race is different, every 'you' in that race is different; so although I say race it's not really it's a 'personal challenge'. I wanted to be better for myself and I continue to do this today.

What can I do for you?

My mission is to help you accomplish your running dreams. Whether you are a first-time runner or more accomplished, I will help you get over that finishing line for a better you.

I will use techniques and ideas from many disciplines including yoga, meditation, the gym, and Tai-chi as well as traditional running styles. All packaged with my ideas on nutrition, equipment, training plans and backed with continual support. Endurance running can heighten your life in many ways and as a long-term game can lead to a newer level of wellbeing. So whether you have goals or desires on a target distance; you are a beginner and want to get going; or just want to have fun, let me help you on your journey.

Training options

1.0 One-off sessions: To cover any part of the running cycle, from assessment, planning, goal setting, pacing, core training, warming up, running form, nutrition, stretching pre/post, breathing, mindfulness or any mixture £50 per hour; teens (12-18) £35 per hour

2.0 Block booking sessions 10 for £450 ( teens £300 )over any period you choose.

3.0 Your Distance Goal package - 10 sessions as above tailored to you so you can achieve your goal. Any additional sessions at £35 per hour.

You will be given a free 'get to know you' session where I can learn about you and you can ask questions, but don't think it won't involve some running !

You will need to come with some aspirations; a goal, desire to achieve, focus to get there and commitment to your goal. I can help you with these, there is no right or wrong .
